Abstract
The report is intended to provide Canadians and international audiences with information and data on the country's forest resources and their contribution to the economy and environment. This year's report focuses on the many scientific and technological innovations and progressive policies that have made Canada recognized worldwide for its sustainable forest management. Throughout the report, examples are provided of exciting work occurring in areas such as forestry practices, forest biodiversity, climate change, pest management, socioeconomics and biotechnology.
